Gear checklist
- Club (blunt = weak point) and a wood shield, or a crude bow for kiting.
- Meadows food in all slots — grilled meat and berries — so one lightning AoE cannot kill you.
- Fight at the Mystical Altar with 2× Deer Trophy, then move to an open clearing.
The fight loop
- Wait for the stag charge — sidestep it, do not backpedal.
- When the lightning ring telegraphs, step out of it or shield-block.
- Land club hits in the gaps between attacks.
- Keep health topped up; the fight is a stamina and spacing test, not a gear check.
Common mistakes
- Backpedalling into a tree or rock and getting trapped in the AoE.
- Bringing pierce or fire and wondering why it is slow — blunt is the answer.
- Summoning with low health so the first lightning ring is lethal.
