Privacy Policy

This site is static. Articles are generated at build time and served as plain HTML. We run one anonymous analytics tool — Google Analytics 4 — which only runs after you accept cookies (see below). The only first-party storage is the cookie-consent preference described below, which is stored only after you make a choice.

Cookies and consent

On first visit, a banner asks for your consent. If you accept or decline, your choice is stored as a small preference in your browser (localStorage) so the site remembers it and does not ask again. We do not set any tracking cookie, and we do not place third-party cookies before you accept.

Third-party features respect your choice: embedded video is only loaded after you accept. If you decline, that feature stays disabled and no request is sent to the third party.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site data for this domain in your browser (the banner will reappear on your next visit).

What we do not collect

• No accounts, no sign-in, no user profiles.
• No advertising trackers, no ad networks, no cross-site tracking pixels.
• No newsletter or mailing list — we do not ask for your email address.

Search and calculator run on your device

Site search uses a static index that is downloaded to your browser and queried locally: what you type into the search box is never sent to this site's server. The building material calculator is likewise plain client-side code — the structures you plan stay in your browser tab.

Third-party services

Some pages embed third-party services. Each one can collect data under its own policy when you interact with it:

• Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — loaded only after you accept cookies, with consent mode enabled, and does not run before you consent. It sets a first-party _ga cookie that stores a random identifier so the same visitor is not counted as several people across pageviews; it is used solely to aggregate anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, traffic sources, device types). We do not use it to profile individuals, to serve targeted advertising, or to build advertising profiles. Data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
• Embedded video — video players are loaded only after you click play. Until you do, no request is made to the video provider; once you do, the provider applies its own policy.
• Comments (GitHub via Giscus) — loaded only after you accept cookies, and only on pages that carry a comment section. Your comments are stored as GitHub Discussions on the site's public repository, and nothing is posted until you sign in with a GitHub account. If you decline cookies, the comment section stays disabled and no request is sent to GitHub.
• Self-hosted fonts — typefaces are downloaded from this site's own domain at build time, not requested from Google at page load.
• Affiliate and hosting links — outbound links may carry tracking parameters. See the affiliate disclosure for details.

Hosting

The site is served by a static hosting provider, which logs standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested path) for security and abuse prevention under its own policy. We do not have access to those logs and do not combine them with anything else.

Your choices

By declining cookies you keep Google Analytics fully off — no script is loaded and no analytics request is ever sent. You can still block or limit third-party requests — analytics, embedded video, comments and outbound links — with browser settings, tracking protection or an extension such as uBlock Origin, without losing access to any guide content. You can also clear the consent preference at any time (see Cookies and consent above).

Children

The site is a game guide and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes — for example because a new third-party service is added — this page is updated and the change is reflected in the copy above. Questions about this policy, or requests concerning your data, can be sent to the contact address in the site footer.
