Where this list comes from
-
All 53 names, their
hiddenflag and the unlock percentages are transcribed from Steam's public global achievement stats (2026-09-30). Steam states the total as 53; this tracker holds all 53. - Steam withholds the description of the 17 hidden achievements. Those requirement lines were read from a second source and cross-checked, not guessed — a name we could not source would have been left out rather than filled in.
- Percentages are Steam's global unlock rate (share of all owners). At the rare end Steam publishes only one decimal, so everything below 0.5% shows as 0.1% — that is the source's precision, not ours, and it is why the rarity badge lumps the late-game feats together.
- Achievement tracking began with the 1.0 release: kills and first-time events completed in Early Access do not retro-credit. Characters that used devcommands are locked out unless the unlock command was used — see the achievements guide for how the cheat lock works per character and per world.
- Ticking a box here only records your own tracking: the game does not read this page, and this page never talks to the game.
Achievement tracking: common questions
How many achievements does Valheim have?
53 in the 1.0 release. Seventeen of them are hidden in game — Steam publishes their names but withholds the descriptions, so this tracker flags them and blurs the requirement until you ask to see it.
Why did my Early Access progress not unlock anything?
Achievement tracking started with the 1.0 client. Kills, first deaths and other first-time events you completed in Early Access do not retro-credit, so an Eikthyr you killed last year shows as not done. A clean 1.0 world is the reliable way to work through the list.
Do devcommands lock achievements?
Most do. Item-spawning commands flag what they spawn, and holding a flagged item puts you in a temporary cheat state until you drop it; world modifiers such as hammer-mode count as cheating too. A handful of harmless commands (freefly) do not. Once a character is marked as having used real devcommands the lock is permanent for that character — 1.0.12 (Steam only) added an opt-in command, "yes i used devcommands but i want my achievements anyway", that re-enables achievements for characters that were cheated before 1.0.
Is my progress uploaded, or do I need an account?
No account, and nothing leaves your browser: the ticks are stored in this browser's localStorage under a single key. Use "Export progress" to save a small JSON file and "Import progress" to load it on another machine or browser.
What are the rarest achievements?
Steam publishes unlock rates to one decimal, so the rarest tier — Child of Odin, Kings and Queens of Valheim, The Master Hunter and the "do everything" crafting achievements — all read 0.1%. The rarity badge groups them accordingly rather than pretending to a precision the source does not have.
