The chamber opens and she fills it — solo there is no reset and no one to break her line of sight, so the buffed entry is everything.

Verified (1.0): The Queen is resistant to pierce and immune to spirit; blunt, slash, fire, frost, lightning and poison all land at full damage. Solo she has 12,500 HP. The Wisplight and Sealbreaker are the real gates — the fight itself is the closed arena and the summons.

The solo loop

The fight is a positioning-and-priority game, not a damage race:

  1. Open the chamber fully buffed — best gear, full food and eitr, meads active. There is no second chance to top up inside.
  2. Every summoned seeker is the priority — drop the Queen, kill the add, return. In a closed room the add is what kills you.
  3. Use the pillars to break her line of sight and buy windows, and keep moving so her area attacks and the seekers cannot stack on you.

The two things that make this a solo wall are no reset (you cannot walk off the arena to eat) and summons in a confined space (every add is a near-certain hit if you are mid-dodge).

'Seeker brood' first, always — solo, every add is a death if it lands mid-dodge, and nobody else is clearing them.

Why this differs from a group fight

In a group, a mage can hold the Queen’s attention and double Eitr regen with her own Power while another clears adds. Solo, you are doing both at once and you cannot reload food between attempts. That is why:

  • Gear tier is the whole fight — you are not out-leveling her by retrying with the same kit; you arrive at max tier or you lose.
  • Seekers are the real boss — nobody else is clearing them, so each one is a death if it lands on your dodge.
  • There is no reset — walk off and the citadel does not wait; you re-open the chamber and start again, which is why the buffed entry is everything.

Frequently asked questions

Why is The Queen so much harder solo?
Because the arena is closed and she summons adds. There is no safe reset spot to walk off to, and in a confined room a summoned seeker is exactly what turns a clean dodge into a hit. Solo you are the tank, the DPS and the add-clear at once, with no one to break her line of sight for you.
What do I bring to solo The Queen?
Your strongest weapon tier (she is resistant to pierce and immune to spirit, so use blunt, slash, fire, frost, lightning or poison), a full health and eitr meal set, and resistance meads active before you open the chamber. The closed arena means you cannot retreat to eat or drink mid-fight.
Do I need a Wisplight to reach The Queen?
Yes. The Mistlands' permanent fog makes navigation, finding the Infested Citadel and reading the arena impossible without a light source that clears it. The Wisplight is the practical gate on this boss — without it you cannot even get to the fight.
How hard is The Queen solo compared to the other bosses?
She is the hardest of the classic set and the first boss of the 1.0 endgame progression. Fought in a closed arena with summons and area attacks, she expects the best gear the Mistlands can produce and punishes arriving under-geared. Solo she has 12,500 HP — a short number, but in a confined space with no reset, it is one of the longest fights in the game.
